Foundation Stories > VUF Donates to Assist Save a Warrior Program

The Veterans United Home Loans office in Lenexa, KS invited Adam “Doc” Magers to talk to employees about the Save a Warrior program, a 5 day program that shows veterans suffering from PTSD a new way to live. They then surprised the organization with a $60,000 donation to help the organization continue to grow.

According to Magers, of the 300 warriors who have gone through the program, over 90% were suicidal when they found Save a Warrior and over 50% of them had tried to commit suicide. To date, no veteran who has been through the program has attempted suicide.
